Regeneration and Investment

What we do

Regeneration and Investment is a small team of Chartered Surveyors (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)) and supporting staff who are responsible for developing the Council’s land for business to purchase or rent from us or to develop housing.

Property Management

The Property Management team are responsible for securing lettings and managing more than 600 shops offices and industrial units, dealing with day to day occupation issues, drawing up leases and licences, valuing property. The income from this property portfolio assists the Council to provide its services.

Development team

The Development team are responsible for the sale and acquisition of land and buildings together with the development of new commercial premises to support the property portfolio. They also deal with small land sales for garden land or house extensions.

A project our team has completed

A recent project was the development of 24 units at Hortonwood, known as Orchard Business Park. This project consisted of purchasing the land and obtaining planning permission before letting a building contract. The 24 units are now let and managed by the Property Management team.
