Telford Town Centre

Telford & Wrekin Council building a bright future for Telford Town Centre

The words wrote in black "Investing in Telford and Wrekin", directly underneath the words wrote in red "Creating a better Telford Town Centre", isolated on a white background.

Telford has suffered from an oversupply of dated office and retail accommodation that no longer meets modern requirements, together with limited residential development in the town centre. Additionally, Telford is characterised by its legacy as a new town, with communities separated from places of employment.

Station Quarter is located to the north of Telford Town Centre and will provide the next phase in the future of the town centre. In 2021, the Council secured Towns Funding and in 2023, central government funding to support the delivery of the transformational Station Quarter development.

The project will redevelop and regenerate this vacant site and key town centre gateway from the main railway station into the town centre creating a new education campus and new residential provision for town centre living.
