Winter fuel payments
An annual tax-free payment for households that include someone of state pension age. You could get between £100 and £300 to help with your bills this winter.
Cold weather payments
If you receive certain benefits you may be eligible for payments if the weather drops below zero degrees celsius over seven consecutive days.
Warm Homes Discount
The Warm Home Discount scheme for winter 2022 to 2023 has now closed. The scheme will reopen in October 2023. More information will be available soon.
National Cost of Living Payments 2023 - 2024
If you receive certain benefits or tax credits, you may be able to get up to 5 payments to help with the cost of living in 2023-24. You do not need to apply. If you are eligible you’ll be paid automatically in the same way you usually get your benefits or tax credits.
