Landau’s Training and Enterprise division is aimed at learners from as young as 14, and we recognise there is no age limit on learning. For some learners we are a stepping stone for those that need the time to develop and gain independence, for others we are the link to future employment.
Our strategic vision for the next 2 years is to be integral to the local authorities and work in collaboration with our partners and stakeholders to upskill and develop people who face barriers. We strive for continuous improvement to grow our successful model and look at further opportunities as we recognise one size does not fit all and the need following COVID-19 is greater than ever before.
We allow learners the space to understand how their education equips them with the attitude and skills necessary to develop and grow. We offer high quality services and inspire people to make the most of their opportunities.
The Alternative Provision at Landau is available to year 10 and 11 pupils. Aged 14 – 16 school pupils will come to our centre in Wellington for a minimum of one day per week to undertake a qualification and practical activities outside of the classroom.
We currently offer 2 entry level qualifications:
- entry Level 3 certificate in the introduction to the Hair and Beauty sector
- entry Level 3 Award in Preparing for Further Learning or Employment in Construction.
