The Local Offer website sets out Telford & Wrekin Council’s offer of support for parents and carers of children and young people with SEND.
The MyFAM Project was formed in 2018 to create a safe space for children of all abilities to socialise and have fun whilst learning new skills. The aim is to bridge the gap between children with and without disabilities. There are four weekly sessions throughout Telford with various activities such as arts and crafts, silent discos, sports, party games and sensory play.
DISKS Telford offer sports and leisure activities for local children and their families to take part in various activities across the borough. Offering activities to develop confidence for both the child and the parent(s)/guardian to take part in. Sport at a level relevant to themselves along with leisure activities designed to help create new friends, interests and preparation for when they are ready to attend main stream activities under their own initiative. Empathy for Special Children is a registered charity, working across Shropshire to improve the lives and reduce social isolation of those growing up with a hidden disability.
SNAC Telford run various events and sessions at The Pavillion which accommodate and cater for special needs babies, children and adults to support them to play, learn and achieve their full potential whilst the parents and carers have a place to relax and socialise knowing that everyone is in a safe environment. The Funky Friday Inclusive Disco takes place on the 3rd Friday of every month, from 7pm to 9pm at the Newport Navy Club. Entry is £3.

Established back in 2006, ABLEize actively seeks out new and exciting social activities, charities and support groups and and adds them to the ABLEize disability and mobility directory.
