Please note: we no longer issue paper permits.

Telford and Wrekin will honour your current paper permit until it expires, then you will need to apply for a digital permit via MiPermit.

No, apply for a new digital permit with your new details via MiPermit.

Can I amend my Digital Permit? (e.g. I have a new vehicle registration or changed my surname)

You can amend your digital permit at any time via MiPermit, Once you have logged in please select “Manage Digital Permit” to make any amendments.

I live in The Gorge and have tried to apply for a Digital Permit however the system is stating “No Permits Available”

Please email parking@telford.gov.uk with your address, they will verify the address and set it up on the system. Once done you will receive a response to confirm that you can apply, usually within 2 working days

Will my Digital Permit automatically renew?

No, you will receive an automated notification before the expiry reminding you to renew and update any details needed.

How long is my Digital Permit valid for?

All Digital Permits are valid for one year.

How many vehicles are allocated per permit?

• Resident = 4 vehicles.
• Visitors permit = 2 vehicles.
• Annual permits = 1 vehicle.
• Concessionary = 4 vehicles.

• Ironbridge Resident: free.
• Resident visitors: £30.
• Annual permit: £70.
• Concessionary: free.

• Annual – Any Long stay car park.
• School – Dale End and The Wharfage.

I am a new resident to The Gorge; I have tried to apply for a Digital Permit but getting a message stating “ there is already a permit at the property”

Email parking@telford.gov.uk confirming your address, they will verify and check the system. Once done you will receive a response to confirm that you can apply, usually within 2 working days.

I have left the gorge, what shall I do with my Digital permit?

Via your MiPermit account, click Manage Digital Permits and click on the current active permit. You can then select “Move Out”, this will notify the parking team that you have left the area, and the new tenant can register.

You will also need to Cancel your permit next to the Auto Renewal section of your permit details.

How can I register a vehicle for a guest staying at my property? (Air B&B, B&B etc)

Once registered for a Digital Permit you can manage and alter the vehicle registration for your guests via your MiPermit account – Manage Digital Permits.
