Declared as a Local Nature Reserve in 2023, at 5.35 hectares Central Hall is comprised of dense woodlands spreading up the slopes, open grassland and scrub areas. The site is a fine example of nature retaking land once left barren by industrial activity, several reptile species have previously been recorded here.
Bordering residential and industrial areas in Donnington, the site is a green haven for people, plants and animals. The area is also an adopted Local Wildlife Site.
