In recent years Telford and Wrekin have been ranked amongst the best performing authorities for reducing the number of people killed or seriously injured on roads. That said and despite police records showing a reduction in the number of people killed or seriously injured there is still a need to educate road users.
The Active Travel and Road Safety Education team have developed a wide range of education and training programmes aiming to increase road safety awareness and reduce the number of collisions on our road network. The team work with a wide range of vulnerable road user groups including early years, primary and secondary school children, young adults and younger and older drivers.
Our Road Safety Officers have a wealth of experience and deliver informative and interactive programmes which have proved to be both popular and effective in alerting vulnerable road users to the dangers they may face on a daily basis.
