Telford & Wrekin Council is investing £150,000 in Lightmoor Village, as part of a series of investments across the borough totalling more than £16 million.
As one of the borough's largest new housing developments, the council is working to deliver these plans as part of a new Lightmoor Village Delivery group, which also includes Bournville Village Trust, Ward Councillors and Lightmoor Village Estate Management Committee.
The money will be used for initiatives across Lightmoor Village with the creation of a community-led and community backed neighbourhood action plan, and will also be used to unlock funding from other partners.
The Lightmoor Village Delivery Group has been formed to monitor the progress of the neighbourhood action plan, and is made up of members from the following organisations:
- Telford & Wrekin Council
- Bournville Village Trust
- Horsehay and Lightmoor Ward Councillors
- Lightmoor Village Estate Management Committee.
The Lightmoor Village Delivery Group meet on a bi-monthly basis, and have already started looking at ways to provide activities for the young people of Lightmoor Village.
