Kindle Kindness fundraising campaign

Picture of workers holding kindles outside of a care homeThe #KindleKindness fundraising campaign was launched at the height of the coronavirus pandemic to raise funds to ease loneliness amongst residents across the borough.

More than £20,000 was raised and more than 200 Kindle devices were handed out to keep patients of the Princess Royal Hospital and residents of care homes entertained and keep in touch with family and friends.

With so many of residents unable to see loved ones or have visitors, it was vital they could access the latest news, read books, play games and keep in touch.

Thank you to all the residents and businesses who donated towards the campaign.

Thank you to all Town and Parish Council’s:
