Telford & Wrekin Council is the Licensing authority responsible for granting the licences and permissions required under the Licensing Act 2003 in the Telford and Wrekin area.
Under section 5 of the Licensing Act 2003, the Licensing Authority must publish a statement of its licensing policy every three years. This policy explains how the Licensing Authority intends to exercise its licensing functions.
The current Statement of Licensing Policy came into force in January 2021 and will remain in force until the next Statutory review, which is due 2026, when it will be subject to review and further consultation as laid down by the legislation, unless such review or consultation is required in the interim.
