Telford & Wrekin Council determines the admission arrangements for community and voluntary controlled schools.

In November 2023, Telford and Wrekin Council updated its admission arrangements following advice from the Office of Schools Adjudicator to provide further clarity on how applications from infant to junior school and children of staff are considered. An updated version of the admission arrangements is available below. 

Schools within the borough that are academies, voluntary aided, catholic, foundation or free schools, have their own oversubscription criteria. The admission arrangements for these schools can be found below: 

Own Admission Authorities who are consulting on their Admission Arrangements for 2026-27:

High Ercall Primary School proposed admission arrangements - consultation commences on 2 December 2024 and will last for a period of six weeks. Further details and how to comment on the consultation can be found on the High Ercall Primary School website.

Please note: If the admission arrangements for a particular school are not detailed, this is because the local authority is awaiting a copy and therefore you should contact the school or academy directly with your enquiry.
