Each specific scheme will affect local communities. We want each community to be involved in developing appropriate solutions that met their local needs whilst improving road safety and developing transport infrastructure. |
Overview |
In 2018/19, £7.5m will be invested in to our road network and highway assets delivering 340 schemes across the borough as part of the Pride in Our Community programme. The programme of work includes: • improvements to roads • road safety schemes • road marking • improvements to paths and footways • residential parking schemes to create another 400+ parking spaces • work on major structures, for example; bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, etc. • drainage improvements. Each individual scheme has its own timetable which can be seen on your website. |

What happens next? |
Each scheme and consultation will be considered before a scheme is finalised and a period of statutory consultation takes place. If there is significant objection the scheme will be reconsidered and alternatives developed where possible. |
