Message to all school staff from Cllr Shaun Davies
Cllr Shaun Davies, Leader of Telford & Wrekin Council, thanks education staff for everything they have done and continue to do, as schools reopen to all pupils this week.

How to complete the educational setting status form
Information from the Department for Education (DfE).
From today, as part of the educational setting status form, the Department for Education (DfE) have asked schools and colleges to provide information on:
- the number of pupils or students not on site as part of the phased return process, for the settings undertaking lateral flow testing
- for the settings offering onsite wraparound provision, the number of pupils including vulnerable children in wraparound provision, pupils with an education, health and care (EHC) plan or social worker and the number of those who could not be offered a place
The DfE have updated the guidance on how to complete the educational settings status form to include the updated list of questions for schools and colleges.

Attendance Guidance (Addendum) & Sub Codes for recording absence from Monday 8 March 2021
The DfE have published a set of ‘sub codes’ for schools to use to record absence during academic year 2020-2021 relating to absence linked to the Coronavirus. These sub codes are not statutory but will assist in the identification of new cases of and transmission of the virus.
The statutory DfE attendance guidance is also supported by the addendum for use in recording absence during academic year 2020-2021.
