Cycling routes are principally indicated by signs and markings. They may be either on the carriageway, on footways either shared with or segregated from pedestrians, or specially designated cycle paths.

CycleStreets is a UK-wide cycle journey planner system, which lets you plan routes from A to B by bike. It is designed by cyclists, for cyclists, and caters for the needs of both confident and less confident cyclists.

Sustrans
There is also a good series of maps produced by Sustrans (the sustainable transport organisation) which cover the whole country. Sustrans have developed national cycle routes (often using old railway beds) and there are three that run through Telford and Wrekin, namely routes 55, 81 and 45.
