Telford and Wrekin Community Lottery, known as Twincl, is an exciting weekly lottery that raises money for good causes in the Borough of Telford and Wrekin on the principle of raising money within the community for the community.
It’s free for local good causes to join and they will receive free bespoke marketing materials to help sell tickets. Twincl offers eligible good causes the opportunity to raise 50p from each ticket they sell and to receive a proportion of the Community Fund. The Council itself does not take a penny from the initiative.
We are inviting charities and good causes across Telford and Wrekin to get involved. Whether you are a charity, sports group, community group or social enterprise we would like to work with you.
To be part of Twincl, you need to provide local community activities or services within the Borough of Telford and Wrekin which benefit local people and communities. Visit the Twincl website to view the full terms and conditions of joining.
Registering is free and easy to complete. A good cause page will be provided on the lottery website, as well as personalised marketing materials and email and telephone support.

The Community Fund
Each Twincl ticket purchased sees 10p donated to the Community Fund. Players may also choose to support the Community Fund by donating 50p from their ticket. The Community Fund is administered by the Council who want the communities of Telford and Wrekin to benefit from the money raised. In order to achieve this the Community Fund will be split equally two ways.
- Telford & Wrekin Council offer two grants to support the start-up and development of not for profit organisations which facilitate community self-help, create resilient communities and reduce demand on Council services. Each year 50% of the Community Fund will support these grant programmes, visit the local grants section for more information on The Capacity Building Fund:
- The Capital Building Fund - Get Started
- The Captial Buidling Fund - Develop.
- On an annual basis the remaining 50% of the Community Fund will be split equally amongst all good causes who are selling 20 tickets per week. This means that once a year eligible good causes will receive a lump sum in addition to the money they raise on a monthly basis through the lottery.
