Worried about money?

There’s lots we can do to help. Find out what support is on offer.

Planned highways and transport projects

From the 626 miles of road, 743 miles of footpaths, 132 cycle ways and 25,000 streetlights to 120 roundabouts, around 400 parks and open spaces and around 15 million trees. Not to mention 2,500 bins, thousands of car parking spaces, sustainable transport, 18,000 street signs, 36,000 drains and more than 300 bridges.

Keeping neighbourhoods safe, clean, and well connected includes a vast scope of projects and an award-winning team, delivers that work.

Satisfaction with our highways and transport services is the best in the region and road conditions are better  than the national average, we have amazing Green Flag parks and rated first in the UK for street lighting, the list of awards and accolades is continually being added to.

To help us, we work with our trusted partners Balfour Beatty Living Places, IdVerde and Prysmian and behind the people who maintain Telford and Wrekin's infrastructure, is funding from two budgets known as the ‘Pride in Our Community’ and ‘On Your Side’.

Both have a clear goal in mind, to ‘protect, care and invest to create a better borough’. Detailed below are some examples of the work being carried out across the borough, take a look and see what’s happening near you.
